1. When you go shopping, do you usually pay for things by cash or by card?

Speaking Answer:

To be honest, I’m all about cashless payments these days, mostly just scanning QR codes with my phone. It’s become incredibly widespread across Vietnam, which is super convenient because I don’t need to lug around a bulky wallet. That being said, I still keep a bit of paper money on me for street food vendors or traditional wet markets, where digital options aren’t always a thing.

2. Are you generally careful about how much money you spend?

Speaking Answer:

On the whole, I’d say I keep a pretty close eye on my spending. Since I’m currently living on a tight budget to cover my everyday expenses, I have to be careful. That’s why I track my outgoings every week just to make sure I don’t accidentally blow my budget.

3. Have you ever spent money on something you didn’t need?

Speaking Answer:

Oh, absolutely. Like everyone else, I’ve bought things completely on a whim more times than I’d like to admit. For instance, a while back I splurged on a cutting-edge tablet, thinking it would completely transform how I study. In reality, it turned out to be a total waste of money because I always end up using my laptop anyway, which is way better for typing and seamless multitasking.

4. How important is it to you to save money for the future?

Speaking Answer:

I’d say saving money is a massive deal for me. It not only gives me peace of mind for a rainy day, but also means I can fund my own travel or future plans after graduation. With everything getting so expensive these days, watching your wallet is just common sense.
