1. Heading v. Tortoises populate the islands

Giải thích: Đoạn A mô tả môi trường sống của đảo Isabela là nhà của loài rùa Galapagos khổng lồ. 

Paragraph A:

This inhospitable environment is home to the giant Galapagos tortoise.

2. Heading iii. Developments to the disadvantage of tortoise populations

Giải thích: Đoạn B trình bày sự suy giảm số lượng rùa do con người bắt đầu khai thác từ thế kỷ 17, đặc biệt là bởi cướp biển và tàu săn cá voi, cũng như việc con người định cư và phá hủy môi trường sống.

Paragraph B:

From the 17th century onwards, pirates took a few on board for food, but the arrival of whaling ships in the 1790s saw this exploitation grow exponentially.
