Lưu ý: Ta luôn phải có “than” sau từ so sánh.
2. Câu “Tôi (đã) dậy sớm hơn cô ấy” có thể được viết theo 1 trong 2 cách sau (đều đúng):
- I got up earlier than her.
- I got up earlier than she did.
3. Với các tính từ dài (2/3/4 âm tiết) trong câu so sánh, nếu ta dùng “more” đi trước để diễn tả ý ‘nhiều hơn’, thì ta sẽ dùng “less” đi trước để diễn tả ý ‘ít hơn’.
4. Từ “much” trong câu “Canada is much bigger than France” được dùng để miêu tả mức độ. Cụ thể, “much” có nghĩa là “nhiều” (Canada lớn hơn Pháp nhiều), trái ngược với “a bit” nghĩa là “chỉ một chút”.
